SnipCut

Privacy Policy for SnipCut

Effective date:
August 26, 2026
Provider:
Collet

This privacy policy applies to the SnipCut app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Collet (collectively, the "Application"). Collet is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".

SnipCut is a simple video editor. You pick videos from your device, cut and join them, add captions and your own music, and save the result. The Service Provider has designed the Application so that your videos and projects stay on your device.

Information Collection and Use

All editing, rendering, and exporting are performed only on your device. Your videos, music, projects, and exported files are never transmitted to the Service Provider's servers. The Application has no sign-up, account, or login, and does not require an internet connection to edit or save.

To let you choose videos and music, the Application uses the Android media picker, which grants access only to the files you select. Exported videos are written to your device's Movies/SnipCut folder through the Android media store. Project data (clip references, captions, settings) is stored in the Application's private storage on your device and is removed when you uninstall the Application.

When you download and use the Application, certain information may be collected automatically by the Application or its third-party SDKs. This information may include:

Advertising

The Application displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Ads are never shown while you are editing. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and other information described above. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the Application presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used, and you can change your choice at any time from the Application's settings ("Ad privacy options"). You can also reset or limit ad personalization through your device's system settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

For more information on how Google uses data when you use partners' apps, see Google's policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Notifications

The Application can show local reminder notifications (for example, a nudge about an unfinished project). These notifications are generated entirely on your device without any server. You can turn them off at any time in the Application's settings or in your device's system notification settings.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics, or service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties. Videos you exported to your Movies folder remain on your device until you delete them.

To request deletion of your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to exercise any of your rights, contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com.

Children

The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com so it can be deleted.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Your videos, projects, and exports never leave your device, which structurally limits exposure. For the limited data processed by third-party SDKs, the Service Provider relies on the safeguards those providers maintain.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
