This privacy policy applies to the Recovo app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Collet (collectively, the "Application"). Collet is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
Recovo helps you find and restore recoverable files on your device — files in the system trash, files in hidden folders, and files that are no longer visible in your gallery. The Service Provider has designed the Application so that your files stay private.
Information Collection and Use
All file scanning and restoring is performed only on your device. The contents of your files, file names, and scan results are never transmitted to the Service Provider's servers. The Application has no sign-up, account, or login, and it does not include any backend server operated by the Service Provider.
To scan for recoverable files, the Application requests the following permissions:
- Media access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO on Android 13 and later) — used for the Quick Scan, which looks for trashed and hidden media through the system media library.
- All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) — used only for the Deep Scan and Hidden Files features. Hidden folders (such as thumbnail caches) cannot be searched through the standard media library, so this permission is required for the Application's core file-recovery functionality. The Application only reads files during scanning; restored copies are saved to the Download/Recovo folder on your device. Files are never modified in place, never deleted, and never uploaded.
When you download and use the Application, certain information may be collected automatically by the Application or its third-party SDKs. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address
- Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The mobile operating system you use
Advertising
The Application displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and other information described above. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the Application presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used. You can also reset or limit ad personalization through your device's system settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
For more information on how Google uses data when you use partners' apps, see Google's policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Notifications
The Application can show local reminder notifications (for example, a morning storage checkup or an evening nudge). These notifications are generated entirely on your device without any server. You can turn them off at any time in the Application's settings or in your device's system notification settings.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics, or service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com.
Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information the Service Provider discloses to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties.
To request deletion of your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to exercise any of your rights, contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com.
Children
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com so it can be deleted.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Your files and scan results never leave your device, which structurally limits exposure. During scanning the Application only reads files; restoring creates copies in the Download/Recovo folder and never alters or deletes the originals. For the limited data processed by third-party SDKs, the Service Provider relies on the safeguards those providers maintain.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
Contact Us
If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at bloodturtle@naver.com.
