This privacy policy applies to the Chordwise app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Collet (collectively, the "Application"). Collet is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
Chordwise is a guitar practice app. It provides a chord dictionary, chord memorization quizzes, chord progression practice, a tuner, a metronome, and a home screen widget. The Application works entirely offline: it has no server, no sign-up, no account, and no login.
Information Collection and Use
All practice functionality — your favorite chords, quiz records, practice streak, theme preference, fret number display option, and reminder settings — is processed and stored only on your device. The Service Provider does not operate any server and does not collect, store or transmit your settings or usage data.
When you download and use the Application, certain information may be collected automatically by third-party SDKs bundled with the Application (see "Advertising" below). This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address
- Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The mobile operating system you use
Microphone
The Application includes a guitar tuner that requires access to your device's microphone. When you open the tuner and grant permission, audio from the microphone is analyzed in real time and entirely on your device in order to detect the pitch of the string you play.
- Audio is never recorded, stored, or saved to your device.
- Audio is never transmitted to the Service Provider or to any third party.
- The microphone is used only while the tuner screen is open, and access stops as soon as you leave that screen.
- Granting microphone permission is optional. Every other feature of the Application works without it, and you can revoke the permission at any time in your device's system settings.
Advertising
The Application displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and other information described above. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the Application presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used. You can review or change your choice at any time from the Application's settings screen ("Ad consent settings"). You can also reset or limit ad personalization through your device's system settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

Notifications
The Application can show local practice reminder notifications (for example, a morning chord-of-the-day reminder or an evening practice nudge). These notifications are generated entirely on your device without any server. You can turn them off at any time in the Application's settings or in your device's system notification settings.
Home Screen Widget
The Application offers an optional home screen widget that displays the chord of the day. The widget reads the same on-device data as the Application and does not transmit anything.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics, or service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com.
Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
International Data Transfers
The Service Provider or its third-party service providers may transfer personal data to countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the Service Provider will use appropriate mechanisms:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
- Adequacy decisions or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms
- Your consent, where required and legally permitted
Data protection laws in other countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, the Service Provider will apply appropriate safeguards and obtain any consent required for the transfer.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information the Service Provider discloses to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties.

Children
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at bloodturtle@naver.com so it can be deleted.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Your practice data never leaves your device, and microphone audio is analyzed on-device without being recorded or transmitted, which structurally limits exposure. For the limited data processed by third-party SDKs, the Service Provider relies on the safeguards those providers maintain.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
