Belovy Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-11-05
Belovy is a love days counter: it shows how long you and your partner have been together, creates upcoming anniversaries such as 100 days or one year, keeps a small diary of memories and a shared bucket list, and offers reminders, a status bar counter and a home screen widget (the "app"). It is provided by Collet ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and how. Belovy has no account system, no partner connection feature and we do not run a server for it.
Data stored on your device
The names, start dates, counters, anniversaries, memory notes, bucket list items, the photos you choose and your settings are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes this data from your device. If device backup is turned on, Android's standard app backup may include this data in your own Google account backup. That backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Photos
When you add a photo, you pick it with Android's photo picker. The app copies only the photo you picked into its own private storage so it can show it on your home screen card and memories. The app does not get access to your other photos and does not upload any photo.
Backup files
If you choose Export backup, the app writes a backup file to the location you pick with Android's file picker. If you choose Import backup, it reads only the file you pick. The app does not send backup files anywhere; where the file goes next is up to you.
Sharing a card
When you tap Share, the app creates the image card on your device and opens the Android share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app to share it with; what happens next is up to that app.
Permissions the app asks for and why
- Notifications (optional). Used for the reminders you choose: anniversary reminders, a daily morning message and, if you turn it on, a counter that stays in the status bar. You can decline and every other feature still works.
- Alarms and run at startup. Lets reminders, the status bar counter and the home screen widget update at midnight and come back after your phone restarts or the time zone changes.
- Vibration. Used only for reminder notifications if you keep notification vibration on.
- Internet access and the advertising identifier (AD_ID). Used only by the advertising components described below. Everything else in the app works offline.
The app does not request your location, the camera, microphone, contacts, or broad storage or media permissions.
Information collected automatically
When you use the app, third-party SDKs used for advertising may collect some information automatically, including:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, which may be used to estimate your approximate (general) location
- Device or other identifiers, such as your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID) and app set ID
- App interactions, such as session time, screens viewed, and ad views and taps
- Crash logs and diagnostic information, such as your device's operating system and model, and ad performance data
The advertising SDK collects this information and shares it with Google (AdMob) and its advertising partners for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security and compliance. It is encrypted in transit. The app itself does not send your names, dates, memories, photos or other app data off your device, and we do not link the advertising data to them.
Advertising
The app shows advertisements from Google AdMob:
- a banner at the bottom of the main screens (not while you are writing a memory or editing a counter or anniversary)
- an ad when the app starts from the launcher
- full-screen ads only at the end of something you chose to do: after you save a memory, when you open an anniversary's details, and after you export a share card
- an ad in the exit dialog
- optional video ads you can choose to watch from Settings to see fewer ads for 24 hours
A full-screen ad never appears from the widget or a notification, or when you switch tabs. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and the information described above. In the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app shows a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used. If you decline, you are shown non-personalized ads instead. You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use partners' apps, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Children
Belovy is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Your app data exists only on your device, so you control it directly: you can edit or delete counters, memories and photos in the app, start over from Settings, and uninstalling the app removes everything the app stored. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA/UK or the CCPA in California), you may also have rights over data processed by advertising SDKs. You can exercise your ad choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings described above.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
